The Grand Migration: Eir Customers Join Flop Mobile’s Network

Today marks a significant milestone in Flop Mobile’s journey to strengthen and unify the telecommunications infrastructure across Floptropica. After months of preparation, we are proud to announce that the migration of Eir Floptropica customers to Flop Mobile is well underway, bringing a new era of enhanced connectivity to the island. Every aspect of this transition has been meticulously planned, with each team contributing to ensure a seamless experience for customers.

Why This Migration Matters

The decision to bring Eir Floptropica under the Flop Mobile umbrella was made with one primary goal: to provide the best service possible for the people of Floptropica. Eir, despite its large customer base, had been under regulatory pressure due to failing to provide 4G coverage everywhere in the region, a situation that put them at risk of ceasing operations. After considering this, alongside the increasing demand for reliable mobile and fiber services, we stepped in to acquire and improve the infrastructure.

This strategic move benefits Eir’s 400,000 customers, giving them access to Flop Mobile’s superior 7G+ network and enhanced service offerings, while also expanding the reach and capacity of our existing infrastructure. In addition, Flop Mobile customers will benefit from the incorporation of Eir’s infrastructure into our Grand Network, increasing our overall capacity and coverage.

How the Migration Process Was Designed

The migration process has been carefully structured into several key phases to ensure efficiency, minimize downtime, and prevent disruption for both Eir and Flop Mobile customers.

  • Reconfiguration of Eir Antennas and Infrastructure

Our technical teams began their work on the night of September 20th at 11:00 P, with a primary focus on Eir’s mobile network infrastructure. Every Eir antenna has been meticulously reconfigured and upgraded to meet Flop Mobile’s high standards, allowing them to seamlessly join the Grand Network once the customer migration is complete. This improvement is aimed at ensuring full 4G, 5G, and 7G+ coverage across all areas served by these towers.

By synchronizing the upgrades with the migration, we’ve been able to significantly reduce downtime and improve signal quality for both current and future customers. Our engineering team, working through the night, ensures that these antennas are ready to be switched to Flop Mobile control as soon as the customer transition is fully completed.

  • Fiber Network Integration

Eir’s fiber infrastructure was a key asset in this acquisition, and we were determined to migrate their fiber lines to Flop Mobile’s Fiber Network as swiftly as possible. The switch began at 2:00 AM and was completed in record time—2 hours—by 4:00 AM. This was made possible thanks to our dedicated servers, which were specifically configured to handle the intensive workload of transferring and optimizing vast amounts of data at unprecedented speeds.

By relying on high-performance servers, our technical team was able to achieve rapid reconfiguration of Eir’s fiber lines, ensuring minimal disruption to customers. Every connection was tested and validated to ensure faster speeds and increased reliability upon completion of the migration.

  • Customer Data Migration

One of the most critical phases of the migration process was transferring Eir’s customer database into Flop Mobile’s systems. This phase began at 2:00 AM and was completed in just one hour, with 1,000 customers per minute seamlessly entering our database. Our dedicated servers allowed this process to happen with lightning speed, ensuring data accuracy and the smooth integration of all customer information.

Our engineers developed specialized data migration algorithms to streamline the transfer of Eir’s customer data, which included billing records, service histories, and account preferences. With the integration completed so quickly, 20% of Eir’s customers have already been switched to Flop Mobile’s network, while the remaining 80% are still using Eir’s network but are fully integrated into our system for future transitions.

  • Retail Transformation

An integral part of ensuring customer satisfaction during this transition is ensuring that Eir customers have access to physical support and assistance as they switch to Flop Mobile. To achieve this, we have rebranded and transformed 60 Eir stores into Flop Mobile stores!

The retail team worked around the clock to update store signage, systems, and procedures. Our customer service representatives in these locations have undergone comprehensive training to assist customers with questions about the migration, new service plans, and devices.

Managing the Customer Migration: What Happens Next

The migration is proceeding rapidly. We are currently transitioning 500 Eir customers every minute onto Flop Mobile’s network, and our automated systems are handling the process to ensure a seamless switch. Here’s a breakdown of what Eir customers can expect during this transition:

  • Automatic Plan Migration:

Customers who had existing Eir plans will automatically be migrated to a similar Flop Mobile plan. For example, those on Eir Mega will be switched to Flop Horny Unlimited, but customers are free to choose a different plan if desired. The first two months of service will be free for all customers who are automatically migrated.

  • Network Switch Notification:

As customers switch over to Flop Mobile’s network, they will receive SMS notifications, confirming their switch and detailing any relevant plan information.

  • Seamless Continuity:

Throughout this process, our tech teams are constantly monitoring both the Eir and Flop Mobile networks to ensure that customers experience minimal interruptions. However, customers may experience temporary signal loss during the transition period, particularly for mobile internet and calls.

  • Customer Support Availability:

Our customer service teams are on standby to address any concerns or issues that arise. Customers can visit any of the newly rebranded Flop Mobile stores or reach out to us via our online support portal for assistance.

The CEO’s Message: A Unified Network for Floptropica

In a statement, Coolwap, CEO of Flop Mobile, shared her thoughts on this monumental shift:

This acquisition is not just about expanding our services; it’s about enhancing the lives of every Floptropican. By integrating Eir’s infrastructure, we’re ensuring that all citizens—whether they’re current Flop Mobile customers, Eir customers, or new customers—gain access to the best mobile and fiber services available. This move strengthens our network, extends our reach, and solidifies our commitment to innovation and quality service. We are proud of the work our teams have put in, from reconfiguring antennas to optimizing fiber lines, ensuring that the entire nation benefits from this unified network. This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to see the improvements and new services we’ll be able to deliver in the coming months.

Looking to the Future

With the migration well underway, we expect the entire process to be completed ahead of schedule. The integration of Eir’s fiber lines, mobile network, and retail operations into Flop Mobile has been a significant achievement, setting the stage for further improvements and expansion across Floptropica.

Our goal is simple: to provide every customer with the best possible mobile and fiber experience powered by Flop Mobile’s world-class technology and service. We are committed to ensuring that every customer—whether joining us from Eir or already part of the Flop Mobile family—benefits from this exciting new chapter.
